Grant Selection Criteria
Organizations seeking partnership and funding from Act! must meet the enlisted selection criteria which shall include but not limited to:
- Must be legally and locally registered with relevant authorities.
- Must demonstrate mature, responsive and accountable governance and leadership.
- Demonstrable capacity to manage funds, conduct project activities and document outcomes effectively within stipulated budget and time limits.
- Demonstrable research capacity to meet the project needs.
- Must demonstrate potential for growth/further development.
- Must demonstrate prior engagement with the community relevant to the proposed project.
- Demonstrable experience in addressing the project needs that have been clearly pointed out.
- Demonstrable track record of utmost credibility and relevant experience.
- A well detailed project proposal and budget breakdown.
In addition to the above, the project for support will be assessed by the following criteria:
Sustainability: A clear demonstration of how the initiative(s) will be sustained beyond the grant, including those that build on existing community mechanisms.
Inclusivity: To what extend the initiative substantively includes youth, women, elders, marginalized groups and religious leaders across the ethnic divide.
Technical feasibility: demonstrate knowledge of context as relates to the initiative.
Results and Measurability: Well defined and quantifiable outcomes and outputs. All projects must demonstrate feasibility and show tangible outcomes.
Partnerships: Potential to initiate strategic alliances and bring different stakeholders together to increase success and scale; thus collaborating for sustainable impact.
Promoting Gender Equity: Promote inclusion and the active participation of women.
