What started as a tiny farm in Gatimbi has grown into a movement of resilience and empowerment! With support from our implementing partner Caritas Meru through our ARIVE program funded by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund, the Gatimbi Young Innovators SHG transformed half an eighth of land into a thriving organic farm using vertical grow bags.
Today, they’re not just growing food; they’re equipping other young people with the skills to start their own agribusinesses. By creating livelihoods, they are keeping youth engaged, helping them earn an income, and making them less vulnerable to radicalization.
