Act Change Transform (Act!) held an introductory meeting with the State Department for Culture, The Arts & Heritage under the Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services to explore collaboration in strengthening women’s participation in Peace and Security governance.
The engagement created space to align priorities, share insights, and identify opportunities to strengthen policy frameworks that support women’s meaningful participation in peace processes and decision-making; particularly in ASAL areas and informal settlements where inclusive governance is critical.
This collaboration forms part of Act!’s implementation of the Programme “Strengthening Policy Frameworks for Women’s Participation in Peace and Security Governance in ASAL and Informal Settlements in Kenya (2026–2028)” funded by Embassy of Denmark in Kenya.
Together, we are working to translate national commitments into community-level action and ensure women play a central role in building sustainable peace.
