Responsive and accountable governance involves the people in key processes that include decision making, policy making and implementation. It also invokes its citizens to be involved in monitoring and evaluation processes. It draws attention to the agreement between the state and its citizens thus ensuring the state addresses the peoples’ specific needs hence citizens hold them accountable for their decisions and actions to them.
